In a situation of almost life or death, you have two options: let yourself get lost among all those thoughts that tell you that you can no longer and that it no longer makes sense to continue or stop for a moment and allow God's plans for you. Over time, those incomprehensible but real plans that life magically has for each of us begin to manifest.
It is not so easy to see the purpose of everything when there is neither the comfort nor the space to calmly think about what is going to happen the next day. When nothing seems clear in a world of chaos, or when uncertainty is the only way. How could anyone make sense of a situation like that? Why is it that the great messages of our lives can sometimes be immersed in the middle of painful situations? That’s a complex puzzle that is solved over time. Could it be that those difficult situations sometimes lead us to ask ourselves: Which is my purpose?
That was the question that our lawyer, Ms. Martínez Ward, asked herself after going through a series of extreme situations, such as crossing the border into the United States at the age of 14 with her family and suffering separation from her mother and other family members when immigration authorities detained her.
That would be one of the first tests Ms. Martínez Ward would have to face before realizing that her mission was to become a lawyer in the United States to be an important voice and a representative of the dreams of hundreds of immigrants who still pursue the promised land. The land of freedom is where all rights are taken into account, and access to justice is sought for the entire community regardless of your language or place of origin.
Jany and her husband, Gregory Ward, co-founded The Ward Law Group after Jany received her license to practice law. She currently holds the positions of Partner and Head of the Marketing and Pre-litigation divisions.
With an emphasis on protecting the rights of Spanish-speaking immigrants, The Ward Law Group has emerged as a major force in South Florida's personal injury legal scene over the last ten years. Due to the firm's commitment, remarkable settlements have been reached, with an astounding 22 settlements totaling more than $1 million. The cumulative settlements have exceeded $500 million in total, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to justice.
Although there were very difficult moments, the time has proven The Ward Law Group right. Today, the firm feels its values have allowed it to remain active. Establishing the value of serving others as the backbone of their operations has allowed them to generate a priceless bond with the immigrant community. That natural bond springs up when you feel like you can trust someone who sees human beings first over just clients.
