Stewardship of the Finances – Faith for Finance 2023

“What we learned is that bad seasons create strong people,” says Ms. Jany Martinez Ward when she shares thoughts on financial stewardship and God's role in all the blessings that have come her way. In a new edition of the Stewardship of the Finances Podcast on YouTube, Mr. Greg Ward, Ms. Jany Martinez Ward, and pastor Steve Alessi make different reflections on finances and the Christian life journey.

Stewardship is caring well for anything that God gives you. This brought back memories of the firm's early days when they had only a small table, a laptop, and a few dollars but enough intuition and the will to continue to recognize God's role in each of the steps they were taking.

Even though you didn't have much to start with, we knew what to do with everything we had. That's why it's important to ask the question: What do we do with what God doesn't give us? How do we use it to achieve our dreams?

Along the way, we have learned to distinguish between satisfaction and fulfillment. Having many things checked on your wish list can bring you satisfaction, just as we are satisfied to have accumulated so much success, have 130 employees, and have recovered 185 million in settlements.

All this is part of our history. However, fulfillment is a level of intimate connection with God and how to bring the fruits of that connection into the real world. To be able to give it to others. That feeling of fulfillment can be achieved when you integrate the pursuit of fulfillment with the peace that a flowing relationship with God brings. The satisfaction of finding greater meaning in the things we do. A meaning that is also part of serving God.

Mr. Greg Ward also used the podcast to highlight the importance of group activities organized by Metro Life Church, such as Goodfellas and Womanity. Based on the idea that men should act morally toward those closest to them and those around them, Metro Life Church inspires their Goodfellas to lead successful lives.

Men who want to grow and develop in order to fulfill the purpose that God has given them make up The Goodfellas. Through events, connect groups, instruction, and accountability, we impart the values of authentic manhood.

Metro Life Church's women's ministry is called Womanity. It is there to honor womanhood and provide a space for relationships with God and other women from all backgrounds and ages.

Prominent women understand that their traits and qualities are bestowed by God, not artificially manufactured. According to Womanity, women are powerful and influential when they are confident in their status as God's chosen ones.

Another aspect that stood out about the stewardship of finances is the role of tithing. Tithing is a way of trusting that God will bless all aspects of our lives, including our finances. Trust your finances to the Creator.

As highlighted in the conversation, changing the mindset around money and its spiritual role as an element of connection between human beings, which in our lives can be the fruit of the blessings that God has for us, is also a valid position to be prosperous and to be able to help others through that prosperity.

For the founders of The Ward Law Group, it is always a pleasure to have such a spiritual conversation with Pastor David. Undoubtedly, we will be working on new editions of the podcast to capture all the ideas that were left pending, and a good conversation with good chemistry as there was in this one always generates other topics, which would be difficult to address in its entirety in just 40 minutes.
